This anatomical model is a detailed replica of an adult human skull in 3 parts, for medical and educational purposes. It has a removable calvaria (skull cap), a skull base and an articulated mandible (jawbone). Both the skull cap and the mandible can be detached, which gives access to the internal structures.
The model represents the textures and bony landmarks of a real skull, and is made from a sturdy, washable plastisol polymer. Students use it to learn anatomy, and healthcare professionals use it to explain anatomical structures to patients.
